Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky is celebrating a banner year for Spring Training baseball, as Scottsdale Stadium welcomed nearly 140,000 fans during the 2025 Cactus League season — the stadium’s highest attendance since 2019.
The 15-game season featured exciting updates to the stadium’s Left Field berm, including a new shaded patio area and expanded tree coverage across the outfield lawn.

These enhancements are part of a phased modernization plan that began in 2019, designed to ensure Scottsdale Stadium remains one of the premier venues in the Cactus League, officials at City Hall report.
Behind the scenes, however, the Scottsdale Charros — a volunteer organization supporting local education and nonprofits — turn game-day excitement into community impact. In 2025, the Charro Foundation contributed nearly $1.4 million to more than 100 local organizations.
“As a former member of The Charro Foundation, I’ve seen firsthand how Spring Training brings our community together,” Mayor Borowsky said. “This past year’s record-breaking attendance is a testament to the enduring appeal of Giants baseball in Scottsdale and the incredible work of our city staff, the Giants organization, and the Scottsdale Charros.”
For more than 60 years, the Scottsdale Charros have been steadfast in the pursuit of supporting public education through being the “boots on the ground” through positive community impact.
“The Scottsdale Charros have maintained a 63-year partnership with the City of Scottsdale at Scottsdale Stadium,” said Charros Executive Director Dennis Robbins, in a city news release.
“This helps the Charros raise essential funds for local charities and public education. Additionally, our collaboration with the San Francisco Giants enhances our capacity to direct resources to where they are most needed. We are proud to continue serving our community through the wonderful game of baseball.”
The San Francisco Giants, who have trained in Scottsdale for decades, praised the city’s commitment to enhancing the fan experience.
“The San Francisco Giants deeply value our decades-long relationship with the city of Scottsdale and the Scottsdale Charros,” said Sara Grauf, senior vice president of experience development for the Giants, in a recent city news release.
The stadium’s proximity to Old Town Scottsdale continues to be a major draw, offering fans easy access to restaurants, shops — and the Charro Lodge to enjoy in style the National Pastime.
“The Charros are a shining example of how sports and service go hand-in-hand,” said Mayor Borowsky. “Their dedication to our community is inspiring, and I’m proud to have been part of their mission.”
