Scottsdale Mayor Lisa Borowsky is announcing the successful launch of the Downtown Scottsdale Task Force, a collaborative, community driven advisory body situated to bring together business leaders, property owners, and community stakeholders to help guide the long-term vitality, safety, and character of Old Town Scottsdale.

The Task Force is structured to ensure that representatives of each of Old Town’s traditional districts — the Arts District, Historic District, Entertainment District, and Fifth Avenue Shopping District — has a clear voice in shaping the future of Downtown Scottsdale.

“Old Town is one of Scottsdale’s most popular destinations,” Mayor Borowsky said.

“This task force brings together individuals who care deeply about the future of Old Town and are committed to working collaboratively to ensure the area remains vibrant, safe, competitive, and highly successful for generations to come. A huge thank you to all of the members of the Downtown Scottsdale Task Force for their willingness to dedicate valuable time, vision, and leadership to our community.”

Ryan Hibbert, CEO of Riot Hospitality Group, serves as chairman of the Downtown Scottsdale Task Force and will oversee coordination among district representatives and advisory members.

“Downtown Scottsdale plays a critical role in our city’s economic and cultural identity,” Mr. Hibbert said. “I’m honored to serve as chairman and to work alongside this diverse group of stakeholders to bring thoughtful, solutions-oriented recommendations forward that support both businesses and residents while preserving what makes Old Town special.”
