
Waste of $2M in tax dollars on covered parking for municipal bureaucrats called into question

At the Oct. 21 City Council meeting, a majority of the City Council voted to spend nearly $2 million in taxpayer funds for the installation of solar panel canopies for 61 spaces at City Hall.
Scottsdale City Council members who voted for a new green solar panel deal to provide covered parking for bureaucrats at the 61-space City Hall parking lot were:

“I voted against this measure, as did Vice Mayor Adam Kwasman, because we believe this is a clear example of misplaced priorities and poor fiscal stewardship,” Mayor Borowsky said.
